Nokia N97 mobile phone

One of Nokia’s most eagerly-awaited handsets, the N97 has been well worth the wait. It is the flagship device in the Finnish firm’s Nseries range and feels more like a mini computer than a mobile with a 640 x 360 pixel display.
Based around slide and tilt functionality, the screen rises up to sit over a full QWERTY keyboard making it easy to type text messages, emails and documents.
But there’s a touch screen too so all it takes is a few swipes of your finger to give instant access to the wealth of programmes and applications it contains.
The homescreen is cleverly designed with five customisable shortcut widgets. More widgets and applications can be downloaded from Nokia’s Ovi store taking you straight to your favourite social networks for example.
The 5 Megapixel camera, with advanced Carl Zeiss lens, auto-focus, dual LED flash and up to 14x digital zoom will get you close to the action. Then use the Ovi Share portal to store photos.
There’s a front facing camera for video calling, and video recording is brilliant too with plenty of room on the massive 32GB of internal memory for storing the mini movies you make.
Onboard GPS navigation works with Nokia Maps to find your way around town.
Browse the internet with either 3G or WiFi connection and make use of the widescreen to peruse web pages or watch video in Flash and Java.
Gamers can download cool titles through the Nokia N-Gage system and use the touch screen or side buttons to play.
If that wasn’t enough, the music player is easy to load up with your favourite tracks and connects to the Nokia Music Store for direct download.
Should you really need to do some work while you’re out, there’s also the ability to edit documents and spreadsheets plus vire PDFs using the
preloaded software. There’s plenty of support for various email delivery options to keep you attached to the office – and your friends – 24/7.
See, we told you it had everything you could ever want. It even makes phone calls and sends text messages!
